Service Description

Travel companions are in demand as the market grows for senior and disabled adults who require assistance for traveling. This 2-day virtual interactive program provides detailed training to a variety of professionals interested in starting a business or working as a travel companion. Participants will gain knowledge and skills to assess, plan and execute travel to meet the unique needs of a variety of clients with travel challenges. When: Friday, February 23rd 2024 - 8:00am - 4:00pm CST Saturday, February 24th, 2024 - 8:00am - 4:00pm CST Virtual Program Event Participants Will Walk Away With: -Business strategies to create and succeed in your own travel companion company -Abilities to assess and mitigate possible health and behavioral challenges during travel -Approaches to maintain client safety and comfort throughout travel -Tactics to plan, problem-solve and orchestrate a variety of travel scenarios Who Should Attend: -Individuals with health or social service backgrounds serving older adults -Travel savvy individuals with excellent interpersonal skills What’s Included: -Lectures, handouts, forms, “Travel Well” book, travel tools to get your business started -Access to recorded lectures for 60 days post-training -Ongoing mentoring following training -Listed as a Certified Senior TravALZ Companion to website and the opportunity to receive client referrals from Faculty Cost: Early bird rate $1,350 before February 1st, 2024. $1,500 thereafter -Inclusive of all training, materials, and mentoring to completion of an actual trip and certification. Limited to 10 Participants

Cancellation Policy

VIRTUAL EVENT ON FEBRUARY 23RD-24TH: Cancellations made before February 9th, 2024 will be subject to a full refund (excluding the credit card processing fee). Cancellations after February 10th will get a 50% refund.
